Thanks, Haipeng - this is very good!

You might want to add links to the (HTMLified) PostScript tutorials on BNs (by Breese and Koller) and on learning BNs from data (by Friedman and Goldszmidt) that I mentioned in:

http://www.kddresearch.org/Board/messages/84.html

and in:

http://www.kddresearch.org/Board/messages/83.html

There is also Pearl's IJCAI-99 talk on causality, which is very good.

In your page, there are a few minor typos that I will go over with you on Tuesday before we send this out to CIS830-L (the 830/864 mailing list).

Meanwhile, I am forwarding this to ONR-MPP-L, KDD-L, CIS890-L, and some UIUC alumni and grads (Ole, Surya, Jesse, Eugene, and Samarth). I highly recommend this page as a jumping-off point for anyone with an interest in probabilistic reasoning (even the very experienced).

Thanks again,
Bill
