  • 21 Aug 2001: The class web board is up. Everyone should subscribe web-only (no e-mail). Notify the instructional staff if you are not getting e-mail or are getting unwanted duplicates (specify any and all e-mail addresses where you want course mail to go, and use a meaningful subject header).
  • 21 Aug 2001: Lecture 0 is up on the Lectures page.
  • 23 Aug 2001: A course missive and frequently-asked question (FAQ) and answer list have been posted. All students should read the FAQ, especially remote students and those who have not received the course missive by e-mail.
  • 28 Aug 2001: The course syllabus has been updated and is now linked from the course information page
  • 13 Sep 2001: Homework 1 (problem set) has now been posted on the homework page.
  • 30 Sep 2001: Homework 2 (machine problem) has now been posted on the homework page.
